Paranormal Bite - Eight Sentence Sunday 5-5-13

Hey Readers!

We've got another fabulous Sunday to indulge in eight awesome sentences! Here's an excerpt from my May 22, 2013 release of Blood Moon on the Rise.

Tamara and Nicholas the hero and heroine are members of a supernatural creature hunting society. An ancient law forbids them from falling in love and yet they were assigned as partners when they were fifteen years old. Now as adults, they are fighting the feelings which have only grown between them since they were teenagers.

“I’ll see you in the morning.” His voice came out low and rough.
She paused at the threshold of her doorway, looking over her shoulder at him. Her eyes were soft, but that awful haunted look formed shadows behind them. A thousand words unsaid hung heavy in the air, and he wasn’t brave enough to say any of them, not yet. But they warmed his heart and filled him with sadness all the same.
“Goodnight…Nicholas.”
Every time she said it, it felt like goodbye.

Want to know what happens next and find out how Tamara and Nicholas survive a deadly lust spell cast by a vengeful sorcerress? Check back here on my blog or facebook for more details.

OFFICIAL BLURB:

Tamara wants nothing more than to protect the world from deadly paranormal creatures. Well, maybe she wants a little more than that. But the man she craves—Nicholas Rubin—is strictly off limits.

For years, Nicholas has been her loyal partner, helping to defeat murderous werewolves and take down unruly vampires.  Nicholas has always given Tamara his protection, friendship, and support. The only thing he hasn’t given her is his love. A relationship between Tamara and Nicholas is forbidden by ancient law, and the consequences could be deadly.
But when a powerful Sorceress threatens both their lives, Tamara has a choice to make: Give into her feelings for Nicholas, and risk her life. Or take a chance on Nicholas, and receive his love—at a price.
